Perhaps the bravest thing we can do in the whole world is pray. These conversations with the King of Heaven often feel small in this world of overwhelming brokenness and big dreams. There are problems I’ve kept to myself, and people I have forgotten to talk about Jesus with. I have very often forgotten Him. I have been Peter, denying Him repeatedly to the world even though my soul knows I love Him deeply. Why do I do it? Perhaps it is because I have been afraid that the honest truth of who I am and what I believe will not be enough. But friends, when we pray and when we let the world know that we believe in the realness of Jesus and in the power of our God, then we are brave. It is Jesus who makes us brave. His honesty with us is what draws us to Him. His Grace is what ushers our prayers into the throne room of Heaven. Keep praying those real prayers. Keep being brave in Jesus.
